The first namaz-e-janaza of SM Nazrul Islam, founding chairman of the country's leading electrical, electronics and home appliances manufacturing and marketing company Walton group, has been held on Monday.
The janaza was held at 10:50am in the corporate office of Walton Group in capital's Bashundhara residential area (Plot-1088, Road-80 ft-2, Block-I).
The second Namaz-e-Janaza is scheduled to hold at Walton Factory at Chandra in Gazipur around 11:30am.
Later, he will be laid to eternal rest at family graveyard of Tangail's Gosaijoair after third Namaz-e-Janaza following Asr prayer on Monday.
SM Nazrul Islam breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the capital's Apollo Hospital around 9:40pm on Sunday. He was 93.
